Filling in the blanks

Yea...
I drew some boxers, a ring girl and a bear boxer. Thinking of setting my boxing comic in an anthropomorphic world. IT WON'T BE A FURRY COMIC!!!! More along the lines of Blacksad.

Anyways, back to Killing Spree". Page 3 is lookin' hella sweet.

Back @ the Park

Drawin' at the park again.

People watching is fun.

Also I'm totally buying "Umbrella Academy" Written by Gerard Way and drawn by Gabriel Ba. It looks crazy good.

More from Ba and his crazy talented twin brother here.
They are both Equally amazing, though I have an affinity towards Ba.

Boxing is Awesome

And so is soccer. I should start drawing soccer players.

Beckham debuts this Saturday. I'll probably watch. I hope it brings up the viewership of soccer in the US. It's such an awesome sport. Second to Boxing of course.

NOT A SELF PORTRAIT!

Read the SEVEN CAMELS BLOG. The latest post is genius. I agree 100% with his thinking. Thats why I enjoy high focus figure drawing so much. Makes me want to go to some life drawing sessions.

Killing Spreeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Page 4 Pnl 2(well part of it)

Drawing these pages have my thinking about storytelling in manga and how they can tackle various subjects and genres. Why are there no more american comics about sports? romance comics? educational comics? The medium itself is so vast and possible of so much. Why is an in inherently American medium expanding so much everywhere else? I don't have the answers. I just wanna produce a shitload of comics in a variety of formats on a variety of subjects and genres. Here's hopin'.

Faces

Been reading alot of manga recently. My favorite so far has been Hajime no Ippo, a manga about boxing. I'm not sure exactly what it is about this manga, but it's so engaging. I really start to cheer for the main character. Another thing I really enjoy about this manga is that the main character learns from his mistakes and his prior matches.

I'm gonna draw a boxing comic one day. Hopefully it'll be as good as Ippo.
